Katherine Rhee began her music career like many young violinists, saturated in classical music and orchestras. That lasted twenty five years and expanded into performing for weddings and special events as a soloist, in duets and small ensembles. But Katherine's music interests expand far beyond classical, although it remains one of her first loves. Being very fond of instrumental music and many other styles has taken Katherine into some unconventional places as a violinist.
Her music stretches over many different cultures and styles including Latin and European, a bit of jazz, a smidgeon of country, classic cover tunes from the 1930's to today and a whole lot of schmaltz! Her music is designed to provide ambiance. She believes that if you stick around long enough you're sure to hear something that resonates with you.
Other music that Katherine has been involved in is as a bass player in an R & B band, and she is currently in a Celtic trio called, 'Crimson and Clover' playing violin/fiddle, hammer dulcimer, bodhran, and a tiny bit o' guitar and penny whistle. She also professes to be a spirited tambourine player for almost any type of music....
